Dr. Prieto-Portar is the Managing Partner of Piedroba Consulting Group (PCG). He has over 50 years of experience in construction and engineering fields. Throughout his career, he has successfully performed both public and private heavy construction, design, and engineering projects exceeding US $10 Billion in project CAPEX. Dr. Prieto-Portar received his Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) from Princeton University and is the former Director of Public Works for the City of Miami and a former Under-Secretary of Housing for Argentina. He served as Head Instructor for the United States Army Corps of Engineers’ 'Dredging Fundamentals Course' for a decade, and is a former Professor of Engineering at Florida International University, the United States Military Academy West Point, and Princeton University. Dr. Prieto-Portar is the lead instructor for all of PCG’s classes and executive seminars. An internationally recognized geotechnical authority, Dr. Prieto-Portar specializes in the oversight and management of site investigation campaigns and project design.

Mr. Prieto y Munoz, a founding partner, specializes in environmental and construction risk management. Mr. Prieto y Muñoz's expertise lays in conceptual design, Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) and Regulatory administration, and the implementation of project risk management models in the public and private markets. He has served as an instructor in the USACE Dredging Fundamentals course, as well as many of PCG's classes and executive seminars hosted in partnership with the Organization of American States (OAS), Mr. Prieto y Munoz holds a Master of Arts in History from the University of Florida and has over 15 years of construction management experience. During his tenure he has overseen the successful execution of over US $5 Billion in CAPEX. He has authored and co-authored various technical publications in recent years.
Outside PCG, Mr. Prieto y Munoz is a dedicated sailor and conservationist, serving as a board member on the City of Miami's Historic and Environmental Preservation board, and as President of the U.S. Olympic Sailing Center Miami. |
Mr. Prins is a founding partner of Piedroba Consulting Group (PCG). Mr. Prins’ business development efforts have allowed PCG to successfully engage in contracts with both public and private entities. As a consultant, he specializes in strategic planning, CAPEX/OPEX control, contract procurement, and construction administration. Mr. Prins has worked on numerous cruise developments representing a portfolio exceeding us $1 billion in total Project CAPEX and developed a thorough understanding of local and regional cruise markets. He is an Instructor for the classes and executive seminars PCG hosts through its partnership with the Organization of American States (OAS), and has also been contracted by the World Bank on various projects. Mr. Prins holds a Master of Science in Economic Geography and International Economics from the University of Utrecht, The Netherlands. He performed his Master Thesis research while at the National University of Costa Rica at Heredia, Costa Rica and took Master of Business Administration (MBA) classes at the University of Florida.
