DREDGING
PCG is well known for its geotechnical and dredging expertise, and the successful delivery of dredging campaigns remains the emphasis of PCG’s risk management efforts. While certain risks are inherent in all construction projects, marine operations specifically entail a high degree of uncertainty and risk. Dredging projects, where adverse physical conditions or differing site conditions resulting in cost overruns are not uncommon, tend to have a significant impact on the project’s overall CAPEX. CAPEX control is best achieved through early risk mitigation as dredging projects are highly dependent on the quality and presentation of the site data obtained, and environmental risk management.
PCG has developed a unique, holistic turnkey consultancy approach to effectively contain and mitigate associated construction risk in such projects starting at conceptual development phases, leading our clients all the way to a quality delivery within CAPEX limits. PCG has applied this process on over US $3.5 billion worth of dredging projects and taught over 30 (thirty) dredging classes and executive seminars in over 10 different countries.
